Gabrielle & Jonathan | Water’s Edge
It’s always an honor to be part of a couple’s wedding day, but working with Gabrielle and Jon to bring their floral vision to life was an especially memorable experience.
Their love story was woven into every choice, from the delicate blooms to the grand florals that filled the space. The beauty of their special day began long before the ceremony, as we embarked on a truly bespoke floral journey together.
From our very first consultation, it was clear that Gabrielle and Jon wanted their wedding to be both classic and romantic, with a touch of timeless elegance. With this vision in mind, we dove into creating the perfect combination of flowers for their ceremony and reception.
For Gabrielle, we designed a breathtaking reflexed white rose bouquet, artfully arranged with delicate touches of Babies' Breath. The soft, ethereal feel of the Babies' Breath beautifully complemented the Roses' elegant shape, creating a stunning focal point for her walk down the aisle. Her bridesmaids carried smaller, round versions of the same bouquet, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious look throughout the day.
Jon and his groomsmen kept their florals equally classic, with White Roses and Babies’ Breath, reflecting the understated yet sophisticated aesthetic of the couple. These simple yet elegant blooms were the perfect complement to the groom’s timeless tuxedo and the groomsmen’s coordinated attire.
As for the ceremony, we designed two grand altar arrangements that stood as magnificent focal points, framing the vows and setting the stage for the couple’s “I dos.” To add that classic touch, we adorned the pews with delicate florals that created a continuous flow of beauty from the church entrance to the altar.
Then, at Water’s Edge for the reception, the real magic began. The reception was a vision of luxury, with tall glass Pilsner stands adorned with lush White Hydrangea, reflexed Playa Blanca roses, White Stock, Babies Breath and elegant Dendrobium Orchids. Surrounding these tall arrangements were taper candles that added warmth and romance to the atmosphere. We also brought in candelabras with five taper candles atop each, infusing the room with an extra layer of romance. The soft flickering candlelight danced off the full florals, creating a dreamy and elegant ambiance that perfectly matched the couple’s vision.
One of our favorite elements of the day was the sweetheart table. We adorned it with an arch of florals behind the couple, evoking the feeling of being in a floral haven. The florals at the base, pulled from the same palette as the church florals, created a seamless transition between the ceremony and reception spaces.
And of course, the cake. Gabrielle and Jon’s wedding cake was a work of art, enhanced by a gorgeous floral cascade that flowed from the top down. The cascade mirrored the beauty of the ceremony flowers, adding a delicate and sophisticated finishing touch.
In addition to the florals, we created a custom wooden welcome sign and seating chart that perfectly matched the couple’s elegant style to welcome everyone with a touch of personalization and warmth.
The venue’s grand staircase was another standout feature, where we used silk florals to create a cascading display down the Newell post and halfway up the railing. This dramatic floral installation served as both a stunning visual focal point and a graceful transition from one part of the venue to the next. The luxurious flow of blooms, combined with the intricate draping, created a moment of awe for guests as they entered the reception.
Throughout the entire planning process, Gabrielle and Jon’s involvement in selecting the stems was what made this floral experience so special. We worked closely together to ensure every flower reflected their unique love and vision. Their dedication to creating something meaningful and beautiful made this wedding an absolute dream to design.
It’s truly a privilege to be part of such an important day. Gabrielle and Jon, your wedding was as timeless as your love, and I couldn’t be more honored to have been a part of it. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!
