Samantha & Leonard | Bourne Mansion

When Samantha and Lenny got engaged, they dreamed of mixing white florals and greenery with a modern flair in the historic Bourne Mansion that offers a traditional and classic setting perfect for their floral vision.

Our story with Samantha goes back to 2016 when she worked for us during her summer break from college. “I loved listening to couples come in for their consultation and design their wedding florals with Lenea, then eventually seeing it all come to life on their big day. Every wedding was different and it made me feel inspired to one day create a wedding that represented my own love story.”

We set the tone for their April wedding day with their custom letterpress invitation including a ribbon and custom monogrammed wax seal. To keep their style cohesive, we continued with the same fonts and wax seals on their custom acrylic welcome sign, seating chart, and menus.

Samantha was looking to use different ways to honor friends and family members through different floral varieties. Knowing she wanted a mostly white and green look, soft ivory playa blanca roses, white football mums, babies breath, and ruscus were a must. We added phaleanopsis orchids which added some movement to her bridal bouquet. We also incorporated orchids for her family boutonnieres and bouquets. For Lenny and his groomsmen, we used anemones which matched their black tuxedos, and also used them in his family boutonnieres and bouquets as well.

For their reception, we worked on complementing the historic ballroom and its grand ceiling with a mix of high centerpieces, low centerpieces, and lots of taper candles! The couple chose a kings table for their bridal party which included a mix of high taper candles and lower floating candles with a floral garland to tie it all together. The final look was so romantic and added to the grand feeling of the room. For their dais table, we repurposed our silk babies breath and rose broken arch and cascading pedestal piece rentals from their ceremony, which blended so well with their fresh floral centerpieces.

If you have been to our Bohemia location, you may have met Samantha! Earlier this year she became our Bohemia Office Manager. “Being a bride myself I can relate to all of the couples that I meet and aim to inspire them and get them excited about bringing their floral vision to life.”

Congratulations Samantha & Leonard! We wish you a lifetime of happiness.
